Rules

Welcome to the National Online Baseball League! We hope this is what you were looking for, but if not, we hope you'll be interested in this league.

The NOBL is a fictional sim league using players' skills to create stats and outcomes of the game. Any correlations with real life players is purely by chance.

THE WORKS
REQUIREMENT: You must have a working email and a reliable internet connection. AIM is not required but it is stringly suggested to have greater workability with other owners.

SIGNING UP: To join the NOBL, you must send an email with the following information to calvery748@tx.rr.com.

TEAM NAME: This needs to have the City/Region/State and the nickname. It must be appropriate and not the same as a current team (i.e. Texas Rangers, Minesota Twins). Team names of disfuctional teams like the Washington Senators are okay.

LOGO and TEAM COLORS: The colors are very simple. Send in two color that your team will wear on their uniforms. Logos are strongly advised but not totally required. It doesn't have to be much as long as it doesn't have the name of a team that is not yours.

YOUR HOME BALLPARK: You must have a ballpark to play at. You get to design the name and chose the capacity in six different levels: Field (first few rows near the infield), Lower Level, Middle Level, Upper Deck, Outfield (anything beyond the outfield wall) and Suites. Prices for each of these levels needs to be there. You can set your own prices, but the higher you go, the less fans that want to come out to games. Also, You need to add the distance to right field foul pole, right center, center, left center and left field foul pole.

PRESS: Teams can create press releases of anything (as long as it's in good taste) to help generate buzz among the fans and the get them coming to the ballfield.

OFF-SEASON STUFF

RESIGNING PLAYERS: At the end of the year, any players with expiring contracts need to resign. You will get any email with the players that need to be resigned and their wants for their next contract. Some, however, might wish to leave all together. The rest is up to you.

FREE AGENCY: There will be two Free Agency (FA) sessions; one before the draft and one after it. The sessions will be bid-like with the player choosing the best contract (incentives, years, money, overall team). NOTE:The longest contract years available is three. The second session will contain players not signed in the first session.

DRAFT: The NOBL Rookie draft, (which will first take place before the 2010 season) will be five -seven rounds and consist of new players. Placement in the draft order will be based on the previous year's standings.

SPRING TRAINING: In Spring Training you will have the oppertunity to raise your players attributes. Each team will get 100 points that will equal .1 attribute point. Teams can add these points to whoever the wish as long as they do not go over the 100 point limit.

Now all you've got to do is repeat.
