ARLINGTON, Tx. -- Owners now have a new league to turn to after commisioner Jacob Martella announced Friday that the National Online Baseball League will begin play in 2009.

       "Baseball is one of the best sports to watch," Martella said. "It only seems fitting to put it together with a sim league."

       In the press conference, Martella also announced atleast three teams have already signed up for the season.

       "I talked to some folks about this idea and I was surprised to get them as quick as I did," Martella said. "I hope we can continue this success."

       Martella hopes to get the season underway sometime in May and with atleast six teams.
